Hello World

Blebbit is a project to explore alternative ways to organize information on Bluesky. The name is a play on Reddit, as the first inspiration for an alternative view, but there are more.

It will be different in several ways

1. Not a clone, inspired by
2. sub-blebbits with folders
3. Moderation will be both mod & user based
4. Two lexicon (in ATProto spec speak)

Since social media is a source and primary consumption of news and media, our goals with Topical Source have interesting interplay. The Bluesky network will be a source of content input, feeding into the information engine of Topical Source. At the same time, Topical Source can add the curated context as you browse the Bluesky network via Blebbit.

1. Monetization
2. Optional, verified identities
3. Other content forms, in particular long form
4. Moderation
5. Recommender feeds / algos (and feedback options)

The last two with deep customization of both controls and feedback
